My House isn't Haunted, I am!

My House isn't Haunted, I am!

I was living in Naples, FL and I was living in this condo at this huge tennis resort. We were living on the 2nd floor of this quite spacious condo, absolutely love this home.

At night I would be on the computer and the only one up, and I would see something move really fast, I'd look and there's nothing there. Then I got this feeling of someone watching me.

I looked around and nothing. My youngest son at that time was 7 or 8, he would wake up in the middle of the night about 3 times a week, after the first year we lived in this condo.

Dakota would come into my room and wake me up telling me there is someone above him in his room calling his name.

I would tell him he was just dreaming go back to bed. At first he listened, but after a week of this, he wouldn't go in his room, he would cry and beg me not to let him go back in there.

So I would let him sleep with me. I really didn't think much about it after a few months, and Dakota started sleeping in his own bed again. I was home during the day due to a late night the previous night, and I was watching tv in the tv room.

I looked up and I saw this boy running out of my room, into the living room and towards the hallway. First thing I did was asked Dakota, "What were you doing in my room??" They aren't allowed in my room.

A few things dawned on me, first my boys were in Utah for the summer and I was in here alone. Second, it hit me that I didn't hear any footsteps, this boy was more like trotting out of my room.

Like I said I live on the 2nd floor, and if someone is running or even walking heavy you could hear it.

I hear nothing... I had never in my life seen a full body apparition before, I wasn't scared, but was a bit freaked and in shock of what I had just seen.

This was around 10:00 in the morning, I've always heard "ghosts" come out during the night...lol.

We lived in this condo for approximately 6 months before we bought our new home. We were so excited to have our own place now.

My son Coty who was 12 at the time, was left alone in the new house while we went to get more stuff from the condo. When we got back, Coty told me never leave him alone in this house again.

I asked him what happened, he said that the blinds on the kitchen windows opened and shut by themselves. He was freaked out and an hour of being away seemed like an eternity for him.

After getting settled, Coty and I were up late, he was watching a movie, I was on the computer listening to my music, when all of a sudden I heard Coty yelling, "Mom, mom, MOM!!"

I answered, he told me to look, I looked over to the tv entertainment center, and the glass door opened rather slowly, and then stopped when I looked at it.

It was dab smack in the middle. Now this particular entertainment center has a magnetic closure, so there's no way this could have opened by itself. It also has a spring hinge, so if it opened, it would shut again.

This one didn't, it opened and stopped dead center. But it only stopped when I looked over at it. I was scared but didn't want Coty to know it.. so I told him not to worry about it, just finish watching your movie. I really wanted to go to bed.. but couldn't move.. LOL

Our new house, I kept hearing footsteps behind me.. several times I have heard my name being called, and then I've heard "mom" being called. No one was up.

I usually stayed up after 1am on the computer, so I know my kids weren't up. Anyways, my oldest son had some friends staying over playing games on the game cube.

Shane, myself and a friend of Shane's, we were sitting on the floor playing the Smash Brother's Brawl, and I saw Dakota walk into the kitchen, I got after him to get in bed, he got his water and went to bed.

From the living room, you can see the entrance hall, the little hallway to the bathroom and Coty and Dakota's bedroom.

A few minutes later I saw Dakota going into the kitchen again.. and got after him. He went back to bed.. maybe about 20 minutes later, he went again, this time Shane and I both said to get in bed.

Coty who was standing by the wall of the foyer, turned around and went into the kitchen, and said no one was in there. I got up to go check it out... sure enough he wasn't in there, so I went to his room, he was sound asleep.

I looked at Shane... told him, "Now you know what I've seen before." This boy looks a lot like Dakota./. twice I've mistaken him for him.

I started putting 2 and 2 together and had come to the conclusion that this boy just might be my brother who passed away at the age of 7, three months before I was born.

Nothing much happened at this house, just the typical footsteps and the constant calling of my name. My saga doesn't continue when I moved back into Corpus Christi, TX and bought a newly built home.... more later.
